Join Mindfulness Without Borders‘ global community for Mental Health Matters, our second annual charitable webinar for middle and secondary school educators and their students! Our goal is to raise funds for educators passionate in strengthening social and emotional health in the youth they serve. You register for free and we will find corporate sponsorships so that participating educators in the webinar can win a ReThink Digital Kit. The ReThink Kit comprises of 100 classroom-tested activities and conversations that challenge assumptions, breakdown biases and promotes a more compassionate understanding of the world.
Our first webinar, on April 27th, will focus on sharing short, breathing practices that help us ride life’s waves. The intention of a breathing practice is not only to become more aware of what is happening in the moment, but also to help us manage challenging emotions. Taking time to breathe and reflect is an ideal way to reduce reactivity. In addition, Jean-Paul Bedard, author, endurance athlete, and advocate for mental health (named by Huffington Post as one of the 50 Most Influential Canadians!) will be joining us to share some of his most valuable insights on breathing through challenges.
Together, let us support young people with the tools they need to strengthen social and emotional health and, stop the stigma associated to those that are suffering!
